From Self-Doubt to Self-Love

Hello, dear friends!

I'm Ilona MariaK, and today, I'm opening up about my personal journey—a tale of transformation, self-discovery, and empowerment. As we sit together, perhaps over a warm cup of coffee or tea, I invite you to join me on a journey that began in the shadows of self-doubt and blossomed into a life filled with self-love and purpose.

The Early Struggles

Growing up, I faced the challenges of being overweight. My first diet was prescribed by a doctor when I was just 8 years old, and my weight was similar to what it is now. School was a difficult time; I was bullied and called names, labelled as the "fat girl" who was always last in physical activities. I dreaded gym class, often hiding in the changing room or bathroom, hoping to avoid the ridicule of my peers. Despite trying every diet and trick in the book, the results were always temporary, leaving me feeling defeated.

The Endless Cycle

Throughout my life, I tried every diet and trick in the book, but the results were always temporary. Moving to the UK in 2005 was a turning point. I noticed women here, confident and happy in their own skin, regardless of their size. Inspired by their self-assurance, I decided to stop worrying about my weight.

A Turning Point in Love

In my last relationship, I was happy but lost myself. We planned a future together, renovating a house, and dreaming of a shared life. However, when the relationship ended just before Valentine's Day in 2019, I was devastated. I realized I had been living for someone else, joining in on his food-loving habits, and had almost reached a size 18. The breakup forced me to confront my reflection and the uncomfortable truth that I had neglected my own needs.

The Realization and Transformation

It was during this painful period that I had a profound realization: if you don't love yourself, it's impossible for others to truly love you. This insight became the catalyst for my transformation.

I began to explore holistic approaches to health, focusing on mindful eating and metabolism-boosting strategies that didn't involve counting calories or making major sacrifices. I learned to listen to my body, to understand its needs, and to nourish it with love and care.

Embracing Self-Love

Through this journey, I lost around 25 kg (52Lb) and have maintained my ideal weight for over six years. More importantly, I gained a sense of confidence and self-love that I had never experienced before. I discovered the joy of living authentically and embracing who I am, flaws and all. I learned to live authentically and embrace who I am.

Sharing My Journey

Today, as a dedicated health coach and founder of "Ilona Serenity Coach/SOUPER HEALTH,"

I help busy women in their 40s break free from the cycle of yo-yo dieting. My mission is to empower women to embrace a holistic lifestyle, teaching them to love themselves and live vibrantly. Inspired by my own journey, I felt a calling to help other women who were facing similar struggles. I realized that many women are caught in the same cycle of frustration and defeat. I wanted to create a space where women could find confidence and joy without the burden of constant dieting. This led me to develop a program that empowers women in their midlife to embrace mindful eating and balanced living.
